Finance Specialist 

POSITION:  Working under the general supervision of the General Manager, individuals in this full-time classification:

  • Maintain the District’s accounts receivable and payable system consistent with current municipal accounting principles; process payroll and employment taxes; W-2s and 1099s
  • Maintain the District’s billing database and QuickBooks with accurate information
  • Perform direct customer service and serve as a key representative of the District
  • Compose customer correspondence; assist with the annual budget and audit preparation
  • Maintain office files, author newsletters, process bi-monthly billing, and maintain website

CLOSING DATE:  Open until filled 

SALARY RANGE:  Hourly $22.00 to $24.00 DOE. The final salary will be negotiated after selection and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

TO QUALIFY:  Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or Administration, AND 2 to 3 years of business experience in similar positions or equivalent combination of training and experience. Preference will be given for experience working in municipal or Government agencies. Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to skillfully communicate via public speaking and written documents, emails, and letters. Must be able to operate Microsoft standard business software and learn to operate CUSI utility billing system.
